![]() Sandisk in comparison I have never had an issue with far as thumb drives (or micro SD cards for that matter), somewhat more expensive but you're paying for the quality. The replacement amazon sent worked just fine however. The 3.0 thumb drive worked fine but of the seven usb 2.0 thumb drives I had to send one back as defective (fortunately amazon has a great return policy though it's a hassle to have to package it up and mail it back even if they cover shipping costs - slightly less painful if there's an amazon locker close by to you you can just shove it into). and for $7 I bought a 3 pack of usb 2.0 32 GB PNY brand usb thumb drives bought two packs of those, then realized I didn't have enough and bought one extra for $3, BUT the quality is hit or miss. around that time I snagged a $64 GB PNY brand usb 3.0 thumb drive for $8. I know we're many months away from Black Friday but if anyone else is reading this post and is interested. OP thanks very much for posting this I'm sure it helped somebody out there who was looking for a cheap usb 3.0 thumb drive and sandisk is (based on my experience anyways) a reliable brand.
